Slow Week

18-12-2007

Well, sadly, I think the jester mobile has seen better days and is not long left for this world. I had to drop it into a garage last week and have somebody with a lot more car-engine skills than me look into the over revving that was happening under hood. Before dropping it in I had become convinced that I was driving an actual Transformer. The engine was making so much noise, and revving so much, that I was able to drive the thing without ever putting my foot on the throttle in any way shape or form.

The lad in the garage said a lot of technical stuff that I won't repeat here, but basically he got it working again by bypassing a lot of thigns. Now it takes a little more skill to get the car started, but once it goes it goes without issue. Only downside is that other repairs are now needed on the machine and he said that the cost was more than the car is actually worth. Oh it will be a sad day to see it go, but such is life. You always do get attached to your first car. The hunt has already begun for a replacement, but until then I am going to drive what little life is in the jester mobile into the ground. Before finding some local scumbags that need a car to burn out. With any luck I can get them to buy it off me.

Workwise things are going slow. It's always the way with the week running up to Christmas week. Days seem to just stretch out and nobody in the office seems inclined to do any sort of work, which makes things take even longer.

And because it has been a while, a new chronicle is up. Enjoy.
