Busy Busy

Slipping back into my old habits again, far too long between updates on this. But I did remember to get the fingers a-typing once again so have no fear of that. It's just been a very, very, very, very (repeat one million times), very busy week in work. See the other guy that one do lab work and the likes has taken six weeks off to go to Oz. Lucky for him. Of course this now means that as well as my own projects and jobs I also have a little more input into the workings of our lab, since nobody else wants to know these dark spells and commands for fear that one day they may be called upon to make things go. But I reckon the other guy has yet again setup traps to make my six weeks as hell filled as he can. Because only the other day there was a site wide power cut, meaning I spent most of this week getting machines back online, trying to fix downed tests, complete my own load of work for Friday and assit other folk in getting their stuff going again.

By the time Friday actually arrived I felt like I had just done a month of work. I need an intern, some pimple faced youth to get to work when I want to hide in the lab and cry as the machines blow up around me.

As a result many things have been let slide. My writing has totally taken a nose dive. I use to get a few hundred words written in the evenings but the last week I just came home and died on the couch before hitting the bed. Not to mention the next lesson for my writing DIP has come in. I really do have to get to work on that.

Not to mention I have signed up for a comedy contest in April (more on that closer to the date). So I have to trim the bit of comedy I have, rework it, and try and get some new bits written as well. It's almost like I bring these things on myself.

Wonder if I can get an intern to do writing for me???
