The Price of Fame

Since I had nothing else planned and hadn't seen a mate of mine from college in a few weeks I headed to the Neptune last night for some cheap entertainment in the form of open mic standup comedy. I hadn't actually been in the place since I performed there, which is going back a few months now, but as I strolled down the stairs into the club the organiser recognised me and said that because I had performed there I was not getting charged into the show that night.

Which is nice.

Apparently I get free into anything that the Neptune club runs, purely because I stood up on stage once and told a few jokes. I did have a yap with him just before the show started about getting another slot. At best it will be September sometime, which is grand because it means I have over a month to work on new material.
