Tanking

I am tanking, tanking big.

I have been reading any and all sources of news and trying to come up with funny stories on my own but all to no avail. I cannot seem to get any new material together. True I have only been trying this out for a week or so but it is still annoying. This comedy thing is something that, one day, I would love to be an actual job if the gods approved and if I can't write mediocre material while being a rank amateur then what chance do I have of making it as a professional?

I think my main problem is that I have not been sleeping all that great lately and when I get home from work in the evenings I am finding it difficult to actually sit down and write. Even my 1000 words a day has been effected, although in my defense I merely moved the goal posts a little on that one. Now it is only 500 words because I can reach that without too much struggle. It isn't the full 1000 that I swore I would stick to but at least it is something.

Been doodling on the graphics tablet as well. Will pop some more webcomic designs up online when I get stuff to put up, probably around the weekend if nothing else happens.

One other thing. I was playing around with ffmpeg in Linux during the week. I managed to get it to encode a movie into a small avi file that will play on my Ipod Video without any problems. This was a job I use to have to do on my games PC because it runs Windows and most of the tools out there are for Windows. So I am changing a few movies I got recently into Ipod Files and loading up the Ipod. Considering I have a flight to the states coming up I figure I should bring with me as many forms of entertainment as I can. Airplanes are no exactly my niche market.
