So nothing has really happened since my last entry, I am pretty much just putting this one up to not have it go a full week without a post. Been pretty hectic with work lately so my evenings largely consist of eating food and letting my brain unplug as best it can.

On the plus side I have reworked my comedy script since the impromptu gig. Took out what didn't work, fixed what work okay and improved what worked well. Now once I get my date I should be a little better.

Of course I was meant to get the date last Sunday and heard nothing of it, but I am in no rush. Going to hit Neptune tomorrow anyway to see some acts and pass the time.

Also back in the habit of writing 500 words in my book a night. It is good, I am hitting it without any real hassle and sometimes even going over it before I know what is going on. The whole thing has to be edited and rewritten heavily, but at least it is moving towards completion. And with the backup program I wrote I should avoid the nasty corrupt file problem that destroyed the book back in March.

Was playing around with a vector graphics program the other day as well, called inkscape. It is an open source thing that is very well written. Never used vectors before for computer art but they really make the job of drawing digitally much easier for tweaking and getting things just right. What really impressed me about the program, is how it works so well with my graphics tablet. A little pressure on the pen cause thin lines, a lot of pressure makes the lines thicker. Even the fully functional, designed for art, art applications that I have don't work like that.

It is really impressive how the little guys in the world are able to show up the big guys ever now and then.
