Nothing better than waking up on a Saturday at half eleven in the morning. You feel more tired, well rested, paradoxical. All those good things. More so when you have a migraine at the base of your head just at the point it meets your neck.
Dear god in heaven.
On the upside I have very little planned today so I can enjoy the full rest factor of lounging about. Ireland vs England in the Six Nations, so that will be on the viewing card. I also have to pick up my mother's new glasses because she is away for the weekend.
Does anybody else get that constant reminder from mother's after you agree to do something? She asked me on Thursday evening would I pick them up sometime Saturday and I said sure, no problem. Then I get a text on Friday morning reminding me to do it. Then I get another text saying that they had rang and said they were ready and if I was back home before six I could pick them up.
1) I am never home from work before six, this is a fact she knows more than well. Seven is the earliest I get home
2) Since she won't get back to the glasses until Monday what difference does it make when I pick them up so long as it is before she gets back?
3) I FUCKING AGREED ALREADY STOP TRYING TO MAKE ME CHANGE MY PLANS DAMMIT OR THEY CAN ROT IN GLASS HELL AND YOU CAN GO BLIND!
Mothers, who'd have them?
An interesting and annoying thing I have noticed as well. I thought I got the drop down menu working on the website in IE (see previous rants about that level of hatred). Alas this is not the case, even though it works lovely in Firefox. Annoyingly it also works perfectly on my mobile phone.
How the hell can a cheap, cut down, tiny browser created for a mobile phone be more standards compliant than one of the most prevalent browsers out there created by a huge company such as Microsoft?
The mind, she boggles!!
