Right. Despite not being all that addicted to the idiot box (as in I could gladly go without having one in my place of residence) there is a need to consider the other people you live with.

Plus it is nice to have something in the way of background noise. Not to mention that the current tv is on loan from a friend of H, as was the one before that and the one before that. Myself and H just never really got around to, or saw the point of, getting a tv for the place.

This all changed this morning. H, in her finite wisdom, heard of a deal in a local store. Big ass tv, all the HD bells and whistles you can think off, a dozen tech head bits on it, for next to nothing in cost.

So I embarked for work this morning and got to the store a little earlier than needed (by maybe five minutes before it actually opened). Doors open, in I go, searching for the TV.

Alas there are none.

Then I spot to old fellas that are probably after seeing off the odd Ice Age and they are carrying out the exact TV. I stroll up in their direction and lo and behold, the last monster tv is there.

By five past nine we have the thing paid for and in the backseat of my car.

I am not messing, this thing is huge. It took up the entire back seat. I might start watching more tv just to get the full benefit of this beast.

Back writing again, which is good. Have rewritten another chapter last night and reached the 500 word target for my other story. Of course two comedy gigs coming up in the next two weeks might need a little juggling around but I have material for them so it won't be as time consuming.

Some site news as well. Turns out there was no bug yesterday, just my code wasn't written the way I thought it was. Which is a relief, because I really didn't want to spend time fixing it. I am going to be moving my videos off youtube soon as well and putting them on Vimeo. This of course means nothing for you, because the video pages will behave the same way, but it means longer videos can be uploaded at no cost for me. I am also toying with the idea of changing the colour scheme slightly on the site. I know the new one isn't that old, but I think a little darker blue in the main area might be nicer to look at.
