Late Night Updates
30-07-2009So, in the true spirit of The Bauble, I was adding some new features to avoid doing other stuff that I should be doing. The list of things I should be doing is, in no particular order, as follows:
1) Rewritting my book. Chapter 14 still needs a lot of work
2) Designing some more t-shirts
3) Making the website for the t-shirt store
4) Possibly looking at a webcomic of some sort
Instead I spent the last few days getting this new code ready and online. So if anybody sees any hassle with it, please, let me know.
What is the new code? Well it is new code for leaving comments as it happens. Two changes have taken place.
First and foremost you will notice that the "Comments" link has been removed from the menu at the top, replaced now with a "Guestbook" link. This is basically the new name for the old comments section. All the old comments are still there, it is just filed away under a different title.
The second new comment code is actually related to the rants. Now you can leave a comment on an individual rant at any time. Click either the rant title or the "Comments" link underneath a rant to load up the rant in a new page, complete with previously posted comments and a form to post your own comment.
Probably has one or two bugs still that I haven't ironed out but that is all part of the fun really isn't it.
I have no real plans left for site updates in the near future. Depending on how well this new comment code works I might add it to the gallery section as well and let people leave comments on the various images in there. We shall see.
Now I better go to bed, stupid work in the morning means I have to act all grown up like.

Pahahahah, shortie maked a typo.
Not bad - but can it open the thing anchored to where the actual commenty bit is?

Also, the Comments(x) bit always seems to say 1...

Aaaaaaaand it would be nice if the page after adding a comment redirected after 5-10 secs to the home page.

anchored? That sounds like a lot of work.
Although I didn't spot the Shortie typo, that is brilliant.
*trundles off to point it out*

Two Too To:

TWO
a cardinal number, 1 plus 1
TOO
in addition; also; furthermore; moreover: young, clever, and rich too.
to an excessive extent or degree; beyond what is desirable, fitting, or right: too sick to travel.
more, as specified, than should be: too near the fire.
used as an affirmative to contradict a negative statement: I am too!
Today's lesson was brought to (too two) you by the letter T and the number 2 (to too)
