Really Early Morning

It would appear to be that time again. That time where I get insanely crazy social life destroying migraines. Having one all weekend is not the stacks of craic you would be led to believe it is.

The story goes thus: On Saturday I was meant to go out with the girlfriend to her mates birthday bash. Did this, with a minor migraine in tow but nothing too heavy. Woke up on Sunday and the minor migraine was still there. We then went phone shopping and watched a movie at the local cinema, at which point the migraine got a lot worse. I was just about able to drop her safely home and return home myself. In bed for a little before ten, with pills in my system and out for the count within seconds. Now in general pills and sleep are the winning combination for these things. Instead I woke up at four in the morning this morning with the migraine at the exact same pain level it had been when I went to sleep. So I ended up popping more pills, getting a coffee and playing with the new phone until about six. At which point I risked getting some breakfast and then managed to get ready for work.

Funny how the bastard migraine started to die down just in time for me to go to the one place in the universe I don't want to go to.

So yea, stupid bastard things.

In other news I got a new phone. The Nokia 5800, or the phone in The Dark Knight for people that don't like numbers. Haven't fully played with all the features yet but what I have seen so far I like.

Got a comedy gig coming up in a few weeks. August 21st (it's a Friday) at the venue that Comedy Dublin is running. Haven't got my new set ready yet so chances are I will just run with an old one and then maybe risk one new joke during the gig. More on that closer to the date.

Finally got my t-shirt designs from zazzle. Will upload photos of them later when I get a chance. Ordered two, a white and a blue, and I have to say I am not impressed with the blue one at all. The images on both a little fuzzy, but I think that is because of my resizing online rather than anything wrong with their printing process. I should have resized the vector image locally and then uploaded, but at least I know for next time.

Just to finish off the rant on a funny, here is a hint of things not to do. When you are in the queue at a cinema, ordering food, drink and two tickets, and the total comes to around thirty euro, do not do the following. Do not turn to your other half and go "Christ that's expensive, we should just download movies from now on!" when you are still within earshot of the cinema employee. And by earshot I mean standing right in front of him still as he gets your change.
