Whirr Whirr

12-09-2009

It's Saturday morning. The Sabbath in some parts of the world, a day to have a lie in in others. All I know is that I generally don't like to be up before ten on a Saturday. After ten, fine, before ten, not so much.

So you can probably get a grasp of how pissed off I was when I was awoken this morning at about eight by "WHIRRR WHIRRRRR WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!".

Somebody in the building is doing drilling work first thing on a Saturday morning. Talk about being a jackass.

I also have a strange problem. Unless I have a migraine it is very rare for me to go back to sleep once I have woken up. So I am up early on a Gods damned Saturday morning. You would think that my rage knows no bounds.

You would be right. If I find out who the hell was doing drilling I will take said drill and do some dentist work on the bastard free of charge.

The worst thing of all is that the damn drilling has stopped now, so it wasn't like he was getting a head start on a day long drill fest. He was just drilling for a few minutes.

What was so bloody important that it had to be done first thing?

I mean really, don't these people know who I am.

Off to see District 9 with the little brother later on. Looking forward to it. A sci-fi movie by Peter Jackson filmed on a tiny budget, you know it has to be worth seeing.

maybe he was drilling his alarm clock, an action many saturday morning sloths would appreciate? good lord, what a complicated system for posting a simple a opinion/observation on. stupid bots can't guess 3 digits? man cyberdyne is way behind hollywood, no fear of a mechanised apocalypse any time soon anyway. anyway, said "tiny budget" shows what a true movie maker can do when freed of regular hollywood constraints. District 9 is proper fun movie with a simple premise...humans are racist/specieist? assholes who are beggin for trouble. enter alien nation with quake-esque lightening guns. roll on the sequel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Complicated system? Not at all. Because you will see that a computer is able to read text simply, so the three digit approach would be borken in a matter of seconds, whereas the crazy letters approach is harder to have a computer crack.

So yes, we shall not be fearing Cyberdyne any time soon.

Bring on the sequel indeed, fantastic movie. I knew those guns reminded me of something. And that mech suit, Iron Man would shit a brick up against one of those.
