Somebody asked a while ago to add to the website a feature that brought the page to a certain point when a link was clicked. Specifically if you clicked the comments link of a rant the page should reload and then focus on the comments section, rather than have you scroll down yourself.

I knew what they were talking about, but had no idea how to go about implementing it. Then when I did give it one quick stab it didn't work at all, so I gave up in true Jester fashion.

But in even truer Jester fashion I let the damn thing fester in the back of my mind until somewhere in the soup of my brain I had it figured out.

So, yet again, Feature Creep has happened with The Bauble. Now if you click the comments link of any rant, the page will center around the comments for that rant, thus meaning less scrolling for the user. This also works on the Chronicles for those trying them out.

It even works when you are selecting from the old rants based on the year and month.

I like to make things as easy as possible for my users I do. You lucky bunch of bastards.

Work on the second website is coming along nicely. I have the bulk of the code in place now and nearly working in full. I finished the logo and have that up. All that is left is to give it some testing and I can hand it over.

I have designed up two new t-shirts as well. They are still living in the sketch pad for the minute (as in not scanned in) so I have yet to put up any pictures in the gallery. But I will once I get around to it. All busy busy busy these days.

Moving apartment at the weekend as well, adding to the busy side of life. Although with that move good things happen. Shorter trip to work, more time with the missus, you know. Good things like that.
