Twas the Jester Before Christmas

With the exception of one thing still to purchase, having everybody else sorted, I am all set for Christmas. To be honest I am sorted a little later than I usually like for a number of reasons. But thankfully I got it all done and dusted yesterday. I had the lady friend all sorted by the middle of last week and then it was mainly family bits and bobs that needed to be picked up.

Of course I also managed to pick up a sizeable amount of things for the mother figure in my life. Every family has their traditions after all and it would appear that part of mine is being handed a randomly created list in December with the instructions "Get these few things" for me.

Few things sometimes requiring the renting of a baggage-donkey to cart around the "few" things collected.

But what would Christmas be without a little tradition right?

At least now I can semi-relax until the Eve of the Big Day. The semi being a result of my social life being jammed back with things every day this week up to and including Christmas Eve. In some cases I even have two things on the same day (something I hate having because I prefer to be able to give all my attention to one event rather than have to rush one and possibly be late for another).

Ah Christmas...who called it the "holiday" season exactly?
