Bits And More Bits

I have been doing some minor site work over the last few days. Some little bits of housekeeping that I have wanted to get done for a while but just needed to sit down and make time for. A lot of it is stuff that you won't even get to see, because it is more backend stuff, but I do have some ideas for a few new features floating around in my head.

One thing that you might be noticing now is that The Bauble is updating my Twitter (and by extension my facebook status) any time I have a new entry. This was something that I saw on another website and thought was a nice idea. Not too hard to get going either, a few lines of code and away she flies.

Another thing I am working on is having images more easily inserted into these rants. There have been a few times I have snapped a picture with my phone while out and about and wanted to upload it to the site for all to see. Since I can update the site from the phone I figured why not get that image thing going as well?

But as always these little coding projects are something done on the side when I have the time. Since this week I have to start getting ready for my warm-up gig before the comedy contest I don't think I will get back to writing code until after the weekend.

I also started working on a new t-shirt design on the computer. It has been living in my sketchpad for a while now just begging to get scanned. More on that when I get it finished.

Still have one gallery of t-shirt images to upload still as well.

It would be really handy if the day had more hours in it, but you didn't have to do extra work for The Man.
